Our Cloud-Native Historian Solutions

Is your operation looking to utilise data to improve efficiency but doesn't know where to start or can't find the right scalable, user-friendly technology to suit your needs? This is a frustrating, and all-too-common issue.

Many process industries are rapidly digitising, increasing the insights we can gain from people, equipment, and machines, and ultimately unlocking new possibilities through data to improve efficiencies.

But in many cases, this immense potential remains locked due to a lack of reporting capabilities and poor user experience, hindering our ability to digest data and make smarter decisions.

Not anymore.

Nukon has worked with AWS to develop a cloud-native historian enabling businesses to integrate their process data into the cloud, providing highly comprehensive yet user-friendly analytics capabilities.

Our cloud-native historian solutions provide:

  • Agility: easily integrating new technologies into the fold quickly
  • Cost savings: through a pay-as-you-go structure, and
  • Scalability: deploy globally in minutes.

Able to natively plug into all AWS analytics, reporting services, and select SaaS applications, you gain access to complex data in near real-time, enhancing the visibility of critical processes and allowing you to quickly detect anomalies or deviations in these processes to reduce their potential impact.

Solve critical pain points such as:

  • Improving management of assets, e.g., identifying the standard operating profile of a pump and detecting/predicting deviations
  • Verification of Cleaning in Place (CIP), e.g., time at required temperatures
  • Validating product quality throughout a production run
  • Identifying and maintaining set points or parameters that deliver the "Golden Batch".

Cloud app solution enables on-demand recycling

Direct-Collect-app

Utilising an end-to-end AWS technology stack, Nukon developed three web application solutions for Direct Collect, a South Australian-based on-demand recycling service.

The AWS technology stack enables Direct Collect high availability and scalability as it grows its customer base via an entirely cloud-native solution.

Critically, system security is already built into the selected AWS platforms, providing users peace of mind that their data is secure, without Direct Collect having to create their own cyber security solution.

Through AWS, Direct Collect has access to in-depth analytics that enable them to monitor and handle any errors and identify critical business insights that help them understand how customers use the solution.

AWS technology stack used in Direct Collect:

  • Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS)
  • AWS Lambda serverless computing
  • AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
